The diplodocus fills most of the scene, standing on four sturdy legs with its long neck raised and turned slightly to one side, its face smiling with a small round eye. Round and oval spots of different sizes cover its back, neck, and long tail, which curves along the ground to the left. In the background, two volcanoes rise up, one of them releasing a thin trail of smoke. Palm trees with long serrated fronds frame the scene on both sides, while in the foreground, curled fern fronds and a few scattered rocks line a small winding stream running across the ground. The linework stays clean and fairly bold across the dino's body, leaving large, easy-to-fill areas on the back, belly, and legs. The spots give small playful zones to vary.
