This printable coloring page shows a young Ankylosaurus mid-stride, one front foot raised, standing beside a puddle that mirrors the cracked ground beneath it. Large areas - the palm trees, the ground, the ash cloud - fill in quickly, while the fern and the striped leg bands slow the pace, for a session of about thirty minutes. Alternate two close shades plate by plate to give the armored back some depth, rather than using a single flat color. Start with the sky and the volcano before the dino itself, so you avoid smudging finished outlines. This coloring page prints well on A4 paper of at least 90gsm if you're working with markers.
