DETAILED ANKYLOSAURUS #10
An Ankylosaurus walks forward, head turned slightly to the left, mouth open in a wide smile and one round eye clearly drawn. Its whole back, from the head to the tail, is covered in rounded bony plates of different sizes, and the tail ends in two curved spikes. Around it stand three detailed ferns, a palm tree, and a smoking volcano across a stretch of water, with a tuft of grass and two rocks resting on the ground. The line work is steady and fairly fine without being delicate, which suits a coloring page meant to be finished properly rather than rushed. Most of the difficulty comes from the many separate plates running down the back, each one its own small area to fill in, so patience matters more than precision. The ferns, with their many thin leaflets, slow things down too. This printable coloring page suits a child already comfortable holding a pencil, and takes around half an hour to complete. To make the armor stand out, try alternating two close shades from plate to plate instead of using one flat color across the whole back. This dino coloring page prints well on A4 paper, and a heavier stock (200 gsm or more) holds up better against repeated marker strokes over all those small plates without bleeding through.
