GIANT DIPLODOCUS #1
This printable coloring page shows a smiling diplodocus, head turned to the right atop a long, curving neck. The tail stretches out to the left along the ground. The back carries two sizes of round spots, large near the shoulders and smaller toward the tail. Palm trees, ferns and rocks surround the animal, with a volcano smoking in the background. The dino's outline is thick and rounded, easy to follow from the early school years. The large spots on the back fill in quickly, while the small ones near the tail call for a fine marker and more patience. The background adds finer areas. Expect about twenty minutes for the dinosaur alone, twice that with the whole scene. Filling the large spots before the small ones helps keep the shrinking pattern toward the tail in order. Keeping the volcano's smoke light and the cone darker keeps that detail readable once colored. This coloring page prints best on A4 paper with a heavier weight, at least 200 gsm, so markers won't bleed through.
