This coloring page places two diplodocuses on a riverbank: a tall adult with its long neck stretched upward, and a smaller baby diplodocus pressed close against its front legs. Oval spots cover both backs and tails, from neck to tip. Behind them a volcano sends up a thick cloud of smoke, framed by palm trees loaded with coconuts. Rounded boulders and curled fern fronds line the foreground by the water. The line work stays open where it counts: the bellies, legs and necks give wide, easy spaces to fill first. The round spots scattered over both dinosaurs ask for steadier hands to stay inside their edges, and so do the thin palm leaflets and spiraled fern tips. This mix of big and small areas suits both a child just starting out and an older one who enjoys a fuller printable dino scene. Plan on about thirty minutes for the whole background. Coloring the oval spots in a darker shade before filling the rest of the back keeps them from disappearing into the base color.
