CLOUD PTERANODON #38
This coloring page shows a Pteranodon in full flight, wings spread wide, its long crest pointing back and its smiling face turned to the left. Its neck is striped, its belly covered in rows of small dots, and its tail carries the same bands. Below it, a volcano puffs out a cloud of smoke between two coconut-topped palm trees, some ferns, and a pile of stacked rocks on the right. A band of spiral clouds closes off the bottom of the picture. The lines are clean and fairly wide across the wings and belly, leaving large areas that are easy to fill in. The challenge sits in the repeated details: the dots on the belly, the stripes on the tail, and above all the spiral clouds, best colored one at a time. This printable coloring page suits a child who is just getting comfortable with a fine marker, with a good half hour set aside. Since the stripes and dots repeat across the whole body, it helps to pick two or three colors for this dino before starting, to keep the look consistent from head to tail. Save a fine-tip marker for the spiral clouds, trickier than the wide wings. Print at A4 size on paper of at least 100gsm so markers don't bleed through.
