A young, smiling triceratops walks straight toward the viewer, head tilted slightly, framed by two coconut palms. Its frill is edged with small round bumps, its body is covered in oval spots, and three horns shape its face. Behind it, a volcano sends up a wide plume of smoke between scattered clouds, while ferns, palm fronds and textured rocks fill the corners of the scene, with a few puddles and pebbles on the ground. The linework stays fine and even, but the scene rewards patience: every spot on the body, every bump on the frill, every palm leaf and every ridge on the volcano forms its own small area.
