UTAHRAPTOR COLORING PAGE #5

🦖 Utahraptor 🎨 Cartoon 🕰️ early_cretaceous 🦖 Carnivore 🦖

This coloring page shows a young Utahraptor standing upright on two legs, its head turned sideways with a smiling snout. One front arm is tucked against the body while the other is raised, the large curved claw on its foot almost touching a curved object lying on the ground. Small oval spots run along its back, sides and the long tail curling behind it, and lined feather markings cover the arms. Behind the dino, a volcano sends up a thick cloud of smoke, framed by several palm trees of different heights. In the foreground, bushy ferns and rounded rocks fill the scene, with scattered pebbles across the ground. The outline stays even and fairly thick across the dino's body, leaving large areas that are easy to fill in first. The small oval spots take more patience, as do the thin feather lines on the arms and the detailed palm fronds. The volcano's smoke cloud, made of a few big rounded puffs, colors in quickly. This printable coloring page suits a child just starting out, with an adult's help on the finer parts, for a session of about twenty to thirty minutes. Start with the dino's large body and the rocks before moving to the small spots, so you don't need to go over them again later. This coloring page also works well with fine markers on thicker paper: choose A4 at 200 gsm so the ink doesn't bleed through.
