This printable coloring page shows a single dinosaur standing upright, its tail curving along the ground. Its small clawed arms are tucked in front of its chest, below a wide head with one big round eye and a broad smile. Its whole body, from head to tail, is covered in spirals and oval spots. Behind it, a volcano puffs smoke between two rows of palm trees, with broad grass blades and a few smooth rocks in the foreground. The body's outline stays thick and clean, easy to follow, but the inside shifts pace: the spirals covering this dino's back, neck and tail form a tight pattern that rewards patience, while the background - smoke, palms, rocks - leaves large plain areas. That contrast suits a child just starting to vary colors as much as an older one who enjoys careful detail, for roughly half an hour of coloring. To keep the spirals from blending into the base color, outline them first in a fine contrasting marker before filling the larger areas with crayon.
