LANDING PTERANODON #22

🦅 Pteranodon ⭐ Simple (Kids) 🕰️ Jurassic 🦅 Flying 🦅

The pteranodon fills the upper half of this scene, wings spread wide, one raised toward the sky and the other angled down as if gliding in for a landing. Its long head tapers into a pointed crest, the beak parted in a grin, one round eye clearly drawn, and the clawed feet tucked beneath the body. Below, a large rounded boulder rises from the ground, ringed by smaller stones. Two coconut-laden palm trees frame the sides, a volcano puffs smoke in the background on the left, and ferns along with a small conifer fill the foreground corners near a winding line that marks the ground. The dino's outline stays bold and open across the body and the rocks, wide shapes that make a good first coloring page for younger children. The wing membranes carry thin parallel ribs that call for a steadier hand to keep the color even over such a wide area. The palm fronds, packed with narrow leaflets, are the most detailed part of the printable sheet. Expect twenty to thirty minutes to finish the whole scene. Since the wings cover nearly half the drawing, fill them with a flat base tone first, then go back over the ribs with a darker shade — working the other way around leaves streaks on such a large surface. For this printable, A4 paper at 100 gsm holds markers well without bleeding through.
