This brachiosaurus stands on all fours, its long neck rising to the top of the page where a smiling head pokes out of a cluster of broad leaves it seems to be feeding on. Oval spots run along the neck and back, and the tail curls gently along the ground to one side. Behind the dino, a volcano puffs a plume of smoke between two palm trees, while a few ferns and scattered pebbles sit in the foreground. The outline stays thick and even across the body, leaving big, easy-to-fill areas suited to children from about 5 or 6 years old. The leafy crown at the top of the neck, the palm fronds, and the small pebbles call for a steadier hand and more patience. Filling the body alone takes about twenty minutes, longer if every leaf gets its own care. Start with the large body and neck before moving on to the thinner leaves and palms — it keeps the hand from tiring and keeps lines clean.
