A long-necked marine reptile floats right at the waterline: its round, smiling head, ringed neck and upper back, covered in oval spots, rise above the water, while its belly and flippers stay visible below. Around it, boulders and coconut palms line the shore, a volcano smokes on the horizon, and underwater five striped fish swim among coral, seaweed and rising bubbles. The outline is steady and fairly thick, with large areas dominating: the dino's body, the rocks, the smoke cloud. Only the skin spots, fish stripes and palm fronds call for more care. This coloring page suits children from about 5-6 years old and takes thirty to forty minutes. To separate the two settings, color the water and sky in clearly different tones, and keep one shared color for the dino's spots and the coral to tie both halves of the drawing together.
