This coloring page shows a dinosaur standing on all four legs, head turned toward the viewer with a wide smile and big round eyes. Oval spots cover its whole body, from neck to curved tail. A row of triangular plates runs along the back and turns into pointed spikes near the tail tip. Around it: bushy palm trees, ferns with spiral-curled fronds, three rocks with a cracked surface, and a volcano puffing smoke in the background. This printable coloring page mixes large, easy areas - body, rocks, palm trees - with finer work on the many small spots along the back and tail, and on the curled fern fronds. The thick, clean lines suit children from about 4-5 years old; finishing every spot keeps an older child busy for twenty to thirty minutes. Fill in the spots one by one before the large flat areas, so the pattern stays visible against the body. This dino works with either an earthy or a bright palette.
