FRIENDLY ANKYLOSAURUS #27

🦕 Ankylosaurus 🎨 Cartoon 🕰️ Cretaceous 🦕 Herbivore 🦕

A smiling ankylosaurus walks toward us, head tilted, with huge round eyes. Its back is covered in oval plates of different sizes, packed together like a mosaic of pebbles, and its tail ends in a rounded club ringed with small scales. Small horns point out from the sides of its head, and vertical stripes run down its neck and legs. Behind it, a volcano puffs smoke, framed by palm trees loaded with coconuts. Round rocks and a small puddle sit on the ground, with ferns filling both sides of the scene. The back plates, round and clearly separated by a thick outline, can be colored one by one without spilling over the lines — a good way to try different shades on a small area. The belly stripes call for a steadier hand. The background, with its palms, ferns, and volcanic smoke, adds several extra zones to fill in. This coloring page suits kids who already stay inside the lines, and the whole picture takes around thirty minutes to finish. To give the back plates some depth, alternate a light shade in the center of each one with a darker tone along its edge — the raised look appears almost instantly. This dino also works well as practice for even, regular stripes on the belly. Print it on A4 paper, at least 160 gsm, as a printable heavy enough to hold up under markers without bleeding through.
