This printable coloring page shows a round-faced, smiling stegosaurus standing on a pebble-strewn path, seen from a three-quarter front view. Two rows of pointed back plates run along its spine, growing larger toward the middle of the body, and the tail ends in several upright spikes. Round spots of different sizes cover its body. On either side, two coconut-laden palm trees frame the scene, with tufts of tropical foliage and rocks in the foreground. In the background, a volcano releases a puff of smoke under round clouds, and a sun peeks out behind the ridge. The lines are thick and rounded, drawn for younger children: the dinosaur's body, the back plates and the palm trees form large, easy-to-fill zones, while the spots and coconuts add a few smaller details for those who want more of a challenge. Twenty to thirty minutes is enough to finish this coloring page, alone or with an adult. Because the back plates stand out clearly from the rest of the body, they work well in a shade different from the belly and spots, so the dino's silhouette pops once colored.
