DIPLODOCUS AT LAKE #17

🦕 Diplodocus 🦖 Realistic 🕰️ Jurassic 🦕 Herbivore 🦕

The dino lowers its long neck until its snout touches the surface of a lake, and its whole shape reappears upside down in the reflection. Round oval spots run along its back, from the neck down to the tail, which curves gently toward the water. Two palm trees loaded with coconuts frame the scene, and a small volcano puffs smoke between them. Ferns with long fronds, tufts of grass, and a few rocks line the shore on both sides. The dino's outline stays wide and smooth, easy for a young hand to follow, but the spots on its back and the fern fronds and palm leaves take more patience because of their small repeated shapes. The reflection doubles part of the drawing, which adds time without adding difficulty. This coloring page suits children from about 6-7 years old and takes roughly half an hour to complete, with a little help on the ferns if needed. Keeping the same colors but in paler or greyer tones for the reflection makes the mirror effect on the water read clearly. This printable coloring page works best printed on thicker paper, A4 size, at least 100gsm, so crayons or markers don't soak through near the lake.
