This pterodactyl stands upright on its hind legs with a cheerful grin, both leathery wings stretched wide open. A pointed crest rises above a round eye, and the slightly open beak shows a smile. Palm trees frame the scene on both sides, a volcano puffs smoke in the background, and two striped rocks rest on the ground among tufts of spiky foliage. The outline is thick and even, built for big open areas: the rounded body, the long wings and the belly leave plenty of room to color. The palm fronds, the rock stripes and the drifting smoke add a few finer sections. This coloring page suits younger children as well as older ones who enjoy taking their time on details, for a session of around twenty minutes. Since the two wings take up most of the page, using a gradient or two different shades on each makes the pose feel more alive.
