FRIENDLY T-REX #11

This T-Rex stands upright on its back legs, head turned toward the viewer with its mouth open in a wide grin that shows a few small pointed teeth. One front leg lifts up, claws spread as if waving hello, while the other stays tucked close to its belly. Long curved lines run along its back and belly, and a thick tail sweeps down in a big curve behind it. A handful of smooth round rocks sit near its three-clawed feet. Two palm trees frame an erupting volcano with a puff of smoke and a trickle of lava down its slope, a stretch of water lies in the distance, and curled ferns fill the foreground, the whole scene set on an oval patch of ground. The dinosaur itself is drawn with a thick, even line and large open spaces, which makes this coloring page easy to fill in with a first marker or crayon. The background asks for more patience: the segmented palm fronds, the volcano's smoke, and the ferns' curled tips are finer and closer together. It suits children from about 4-5 for the T-Rex alone, and closer to 7 if the whole printable background is going to be colored too. Expect around 25-30 minutes to finish it.
