The dino Edmontosaurus stands on all four legs, head turned toward the viewer with a wide smile, round eyes and a rounded crest on top. Its back, neck and thigh are covered in rows of oval spots, and its thick tail curves down to rest on ground scattered with small pebbles. Around it, several coconut-topped palm trees frame an erupting volcano, its smoke cloud rising against distant mountains. In the foreground, large rounded rocks and clumps of tropical leaves close off both corners of the scene. The linework is thick and rounded, with wide open areas across the body and sky that keep the page easy to fill, alongside plenty of small spots to color one by one: the back markings, the ground pebbles, the palm leaf veins and the volcano's rocky texture.
