This dino, drawn like a young Deinonychus, stands among curling ferns with a wide grin and one big round eye looking straight at us. One front foot is lifted, showing off the curved claw between feathered fingers, while the long tail trails behind on the ground. Fine stripes and mottled patches run the length of its body and tail, giving the skin a scaly texture. Two coconut palms frame the scene on either side, and a volcano puffs smoke gently between the trunks, above spiral fern fronds and a scatter of small rocks.
