This coloring page shows a dinosaur skeleton standing on four legs, its tail stretched along the ground. The body is reduced to bone: a rib cage of curved bones, a spine broken into segments down to the tail, and legs built from thick jointed bones. Only the head keeps a living face, with a round eye and a smiling mouth of small teeth. Behind the dino, a volcano puffs out two clouds of smoke, flanked by palm trees and ferns. A few round pebbles lie on the oval ground that carries the scene. Each vertebra and rib forms its own small area to color, which calls for a steady hand. The volcano, the ground and the broad palm leaves give much larger surfaces that fill in quickly.
