CALLING PARASAUROLOPHUS #10

Behind this dino, a volcano puffs two clouds of smoke while palm trees loaded with coconuts frame the scene. In front of it, a Parasaurolophus stands upright on its hind legs, both front paws tucked near its chest, head thrown back and mouth wide open as if calling out. Its long curved crest sweeps back from the skull and down along the neck, and small oval spots dot its neck, back and curling tail. Broad tropical leaves, a couple of rounded rocks and shallow puddles fill the ground around its feet. The linework is thick and even, in a rounded cartoon style that leaves large open areas across the belly, back and thighs — a printable coloring page well suited to young children just starting out. The oval spots are smaller and need a steadier hand, and so do the palm fronds and the smoke drifting from the volcano. Expect about twenty minutes for the big surfaces, longer if every leaf and pebble gets its own shade. Color the large body areas first, then go back over the small spots with a fine-tipped marker so the edges stay crisp. The volcano's smoke works well shaded from light to dark grey for a sense of depth. Print this coloring page on A4 paper at least 200 gsm, sturdy enough to hold markers without bleeding through.
