BRACHIOSAURUS HERD #7

A single long-necked Brachiosaurus fills most of the scene, neck curved left, with a gentle smile on its rounded, large-eyed face. Its whole body, from neck to tail, is covered in oval spots of very different sizes, some tiny, others as wide as pebbles. It stands on four sturdy legs over ground marked with thin ripple lines, among scattered rocks. Palm trees frame it on both sides, a volcano puffs smoke in the background, and ferns with curled fronds fill the foreground. The linework is fine and dense: every spot on the back and neck is its own small closed shape to color, which calls for a steady hand and patience. The belly, ground and sky, by contrast, leave large empty areas that fill in quickly. This coloring page suits children from about age 7-8, able to focus through the many small circles, and takes longer than a simple printable design. Color the neck and back spots before moving to the background, so stray marks don't spread onto finished areas. The palm fronds and ferns work well with fine markers to trace each leaflet. For printing, use heavyweight paper, at least 200gsm, A4 size, sturdy enough for colored pencils or markers without bleeding through.
