This dino stands upright on its hind legs, round head, huge eyes, mouth wide open in a toothy grin. One short arm lifts up, claws spread as if waving, while the other stays bent against its belly. Small round spots dot the skin from head to the tip of the thick tail dragging along the ground. Two palm trees frame the scene, and behind them a volcano puffs out a cloud of smoke above ferns and two small piles of rocks. The linework stays thick and even throughout, so the dino's big rounded shapes - skull, belly, thighs - fill in easily, even for a first-time colorer. The spots scattered over its skin are small but numerous, a nice bit of practice for staying inside the lines. The background is busier, with layered palm fronds and swirling smoke, better suited to kids already comfortable with a coloring page. Since the spots repeat identically across the body, coloring them first with a fine marker before tackling the big areas with pencil keeps the edges clean.
