BABY T-REX HATCHING #39
This printable coloring page shows a baby dinosaur, a young T-Rex, breaking out of its shell: only the round head, spotted neck and one small arm resting on the rim of the cracked egg are visible, with a broken piece of shell right beside it. The little dino has one large round eye and a soft smile. Around it, palm trees, ferns, a smoking volcano and a few smooth stones scattered on the ground. The baby T-Rex sits at the center with big, simple shapes and few details, so it colors in quickly, even for a beginner. The spotted eggshell takes a little more patience because of the repeated small circles. It's mostly the background - palms, ferns, volcano - that adds to the time, with its thin, close-set lines. Plan for around twenty minutes for the full scene, just a few for the dinosaur alone. To avoid tiring out on the foliage, start with the baby T-Rex and the eggshell before the palm trees - the eye can stay a single dark color for character. This coloring page fits an A4 sheet on heavy paper, 200gsm minimum, so markers do not bleed through the fine lines of the leaves.
