ACTION ALLOSAURUS #11
This allosaurus strides on two legs with its mouth wide open in a grin, one clawed foot raised mid-step. Its back, round belly and long curved tail are covered in oval spots of many sizes. Behind it, a pointed volcano sends up a plume of smoke ringed by small clouds, framed by coconut-laden palm trees, ferns and a few round stones on the ground. The linework is thick and rounded, made for young hands: the body gives large, easy-to-fill areas, but each oval spot needs coloring on its own to keep it standing out from the background. The palm fronds and the swirling volcano smoke add a touch more detail. This coloring page suits children from about 5-6 years old, up to 8-9 for a fully finished background, and takes roughly 25 to 40 minutes. Color the spots in a darker shade first, then fill the rest of the body in a lighter tone, so the crayon or marker doesn't blend across these small shapes. For printing, use A4 paper at least 120 gsm — thick enough that markers won't bleed through around the volcano and palm trees. This printable dino page holds up well to repeated coloring sessions.
