ACROCANTHOSAURUS COLORING PAGE #3

🦖 Acrocanthosaurus ⭐ Simple (Kids) 🕰️ early_cretaceous 🦖 Carnivore 🦖

This coloring page shows a young Acrocanthosaurus with a cheeky grin, planted in a pebble-strewn clearing. A low ridge, almost a small sail, runs from its neck down to the tip of its tail, and its whole body is covered in oval spots. Both front legs rest on the ground while the back legs stand firm. Two volcanoes smoke in the background, framed by coconut palms, boulders on either side, and curling ferns in the foreground. The outline is thick and clean, but the spots break the back and tail into many small sections to fill, which takes a bit more patience than a plain dino. The two volcanoes, the palm fronds and the ferns each bring their own texture to work through. This printable coloring page suits children around 6 to 9 who are comfortable with a marker, and takes roughly twenty minutes to finish start to finish. Color the back spots a shade darker than the body first: the contrast will make the ridge pop before you even touch the background. Save the volcanoes for last, since their smoke forgives any stray strokes. For printing, use A4 paper at around 100gsm so markers won't bleed through the sheet.
