This pteranodon glides with its wings stretched fully open, head tilted forward in a smile, small clawed hands raised on either side of its body. Below, a volcano puffs out a cloud of smoke between two clusters of palm trees, while spiral-tipped ferns and rounded boulders, grouped in threes, sit along the ground. The linework is thick and simple, built for younger colorists: the wings form two huge open spaces with nothing inside them to fill in, and only a few scale-like marks decorate the belly and tail. The volcano and palm fronds ask for a touch more care because of their layered outlines, but the whole page stays easy enough for preschoolers and takes around twenty minutes to finish. This printable coloring page works equally well as a first coloring page or a quick activity between other games.
