PTERANODON FLOCK #2

A volcano puffs a cloud of smoke between two clusters of palm trees, right in the path of a pteranodon gliding across the page. Its wings are spread wide, one stretched taut and pointed, the other bent at an angle with the clawed finger tips clearly drawn. The body tilts diagonally downward, clawed feet tucked underneath and a short pointed tail trailing behind, while the rounded head carries one big eye and a smiling mouth. Around the volcano and along the ground, ferns (one curled into a spiral), spiky leaves and rounded pebbles fill the lower half of the scene. The linework stays smooth and rounded throughout, giving the dino's body and wings large, easy-to-fill shapes well suited to younger colorists.
