PREHISTORIC EGGS #6
The picture shows a long-necked dino, head raised and smiling, standing just behind a nest woven from branches. Four eggs rest inside it, each with a different pattern - stripes, dots, arches - set among round stones. The dino's rounded body is covered in oval spots of varying sizes across its back and belly. On either side, palm trees loaded with coconuts frame the scene, and in the background a volcano lets out a puff of smoke. The linework is thick and clean, which makes this coloring page easy to start with even for a first attempt with crayons: the dino's body gives large, simple areas to fill in. Older kids can slow down on the finer parts - the woven nest, the palm fronds, each egg's own pattern, or the curl of smoke above the volcano. Expect around 25 to 35 minutes to finish it properly. Since each of the four eggs carries its own pattern, it helps to color them one at a time before tackling the woven nest, so the textures don't blur together. This printable coloring page works best on A4 paper at 200 gsm, sturdy enough to take markers and colored pencils without bleeding through.
