The diplodocus stands with its feet planted in a shallow puddle, its neck curving gently upward until it disappears into the fronds of a palm tree arching over the scene. Its rounded snout carries a smile and one large round eye. Oval spots run along its neck, back, and long tail, which trails along the ground toward rocks on the right. Behind it, a second palm tree stands beside a small volcano puffing a cloud of smoke. Rounded boulders and clumps of fern leaves frame the ground on both sides of the scene. The outline is bold and clean, which makes this coloring page easy to follow even for a beginner. Large areas - the dino's body, the palm fronds, the smoke cloud - fill in quickly, while the oval spots on the back and the fern leaflets ask for a steadier hand.
