JUMPING VELOCIRAPTOR #21
The velociraptor is caught mid-leap, its arms spread into two large feathered wings as if about to take off. Its rounded head, turned to the right, shows a wide toothy grin and a bold round eye. Oval spots pattern the body, tail and thighs, and the tucked back legs end in long curved claws. Beneath it, a small volcano puffs out a curling cloud of smoke, framed by two detailed palm trees. On the ground, ferns with coiled fronds and several rounded rocks fill out the scene, crossed by winding lines. This printable coloring page mixes large, easy-to-fill areas — the wings, the belly, the smoke cloud — with finer sections better suited to kids already comfortable with a pencil: the layered rows of feathers, the curling fern fronds, the textured rocks. Set aside a full sitting to cover the whole scene without rushing, which makes this coloring page a good fit from around age 6 up. Start with the large wing feathers before tackling the small body spots, to keep a clear order on such a busy silhouette. Print it on A4 paper at 200gsm, thick enough that markers won't bleed through.
