A large adult iguanodon stands upright on its hind legs, neck bent forward, a leafy sprig caught between its teeth. Three younger dinosaurs stand on all fours around it, each looking up with the same open smile. All four are covered in big oval spots along the back and sides. The ground is scattered with round rocks, and two palm trees frame the scene; behind them a volcano puffs a thick cloud of smoke, surrounded by ferns and dense bushes. The linework is bold and the shapes are large: the four dinosaur bodies, the broad palm fronds and the smoke cloud all leave plenty of room to color without going outside the lines. The oval spots need a bit more care if you want them to stand out from the rest of the skin. This coloring page suits younger children, around 5 and up, for a session of about 20 to 25 minutes. To show the four dinosaurs belong together, keep a similar color family for the adult and the three babies, then pick a different shade for the rocks and the volcano so the background stays separate.
