FRIENDLY IGUANODON #28

🦕 Iguanodon 🦖 Realistic 🕰️ Cretaceous 🦕 Herbivore 🦕

This dino stands upright on its back legs, head turned toward the viewer with a wide grin and one big round eye. One front arm is raised with the fingers spread, as if waving, while the other rests on the ground with clearly drawn claws. Dozens of oval and round spots of different sizes cover its back, belly, legs and the long tail that curls gently behind it. Behind the dino, a volcano puffs out a round cloud of smoke, flanked by two palm trees with long fronds and a fern with symmetrical leaves on the left. A few small clusters of rounded rocks sit on the ground on either side of the scene. This coloring page mixes two paces: the dino's body, scattered with many small round spots, calls for a fine-tipped pencil and a steady hand so the color stays inside the lines, while the background - volcano, smoke cloud, ground - offers large, easy areas to fill in. That balance suits children from about 6-7 years old, or a younger child helped with the smallest spots. Plan on a good twenty minutes to finish it carefully, a little longer if every spot gets its own shade. Since the spots repeat all over the body, picking two or three colors ahead of time and keeping them consistent works better than improvising spot by spot - the finished dino will look more coherent. For this printable, thick 200gsm paper in A4 or US letter size will keep markers from bleeding through.
