FISHING PTERANODON #22

🦅 Pteranodon 🦖 Realistic 🕰️ Triassic 🦅 Flying 🦅

This dino pteranodon is caught mid-flight, one wing folded upward and the other stretched down as if mid-flap, a fish already gripped in its long beak. Below it, a lake fills the lower half of the scene: one fish leaps clear of the water in a splash while two more swim near the surface. Palm trees frame both sides of the drawing, ferns and a scatter of rocks line the shore, and in the background a volcano sends up a thick plume of smoke in front of rolling hills. The outline stays round and fairly thick across the flying reptile's body, leaving large, easy sections for the wings and belly. The fish scales, palm fronds and ferns add plenty of small zones, though, so this coloring page suits a child already comfortable with a pencil, or works well as a shared activity with an adult handling the finer spots. Expect to spend a good half hour finishing the whole scene. Start with the big shapes — wings, body, the volcano's cone — before moving on to the fussier fish and ferns, so the small details don't wear you out early. Because this printable packs in so many little motifs, print it on paper of at least 200gsm, A4 size, so felt-tip pens won't bleed through.
