The dino's skull is grinning, wide-eyed and toothy, but everything below the neck is bare skeleton: a row of vertebrae, curved ribs and bony legs poking out of a freshly dug earth mound. Behind the scene a volcano puffs a cloud of smoke between six palm trees arranged in an arc, while ferns unfurl on both sides of the clearing. On the ground, scattered rocks sit next to a set of dig tools — a small trowel, a pickaxe, a wide brush and a smaller one — laid out around the oval mound. This printable coloring page mixes big and small spaces: the skull, the smoke plume and the palm canopies fill in quickly with broad strokes, while the spine and ribcage break into a long line of individual bones that need a steadier hand. Between the wide-open areas and the fiddly bone segments, the page suits a child who already has some coloring practice, and takes roughly 30 to 40 minutes to finish. To make the skeleton stand out, color the dirt mound in one flat, darker shade first so the bones read lighter against it, and save a bright color for the volcano's smoke to draw the eye upward. This coloring page prints well at A4 on heavier 200gsm paper, sturdy enough for both crayon and marker without bleeding through.
