SAIL-BACKED SPINOSAURUS #37

🦖 Spinosaurus 🥰 Cute / Kawaii 🕰️ Triassic 🦖 Carnivore 🦖

The spinosaurus fills most of the frame, standing on its hind legs with its head turned toward the viewer and a wide, toothy grin. Its clawed front legs are tucked against its chest. A tall sail rises from its back, made of tightly packed vertical ribs. Oval spots of different sizes cover the body, while the neck and tail are marked with stripes, the tail curling gently upward at the tip. Palm trees frame both sides of the scene, a volcano puffs smoke in the background, and the ground is scattered with spiral-fronded ferns and a few round pebbles. The outline is drawn with a fairly thick, easy-to-follow line, but the sail and the many spots break the body into dozens of small areas to fill one by one. This printable coloring page suits a child who's getting comfortable with finer outlines, around age 6-7, while older kids will enjoy playing with shading variations. Expect to spend 30 to 45 minutes working through all the spots and the ribs on the sail. Since the spots on the back vary in size, start with the smallest ones before moving to the larger areas on the belly and legs - it keeps the coloring page from feeling repetitive. For this spinosaurus with its bold sail, print it on A4 paper with a heavier weight, around 200 gsm, so markers won't bleed through in the busiest sections.
