A smoking volcano rises behind this scene, its plume curling into an otherwise empty sky, while palm trees frame both sides of the page and low bushes and rocks fill the foreground. In the middle of it all, a Carnotaurus dashes forward on two legs, short arms tucked against a spotted torso, tail swept up and curved behind it, two small horns above its round eyes, jaws open in a wide grin, and a shadow stretched beneath its feet marking the motion. The outline stays clean and closed, leaving broad open spaces on the belly, thighs and palm fronds that fill in quickly, while the many oval spots scattered across the back and tail call for a slower, one-by-one pass.
