A mosasaurus leaps out of the water, both front flippers spread wide like wings, mouth open in a big smile. Its round body, covered in circular spots, trails into a long tail that curves to the left. Beneath it, the water breaks into jagged waves and droplets. Behind, a small island holds several palm trees, a smoking volcano between two of them, boulders, and a few ferns. The outline is thick and even, which makes this coloring page approachable for young children: the mosasaurus's back and belly offer large, easy-to-fill areas. The round spots on its skin, the waves beneath it, and the palm fronds call for more patience, since those zones are small and numerous.
