FRIENDLY ANKYLOSAURUS #13
This ankylosaurus faces forward with a wide smile and big round eyes, walking as its tail curls to the left into a broad, rounded club. Its back is covered in bumpy plates of very different sizes, with small spikes over the shoulders, and its legs are marked with horizontal stripes. Behind it, two coconut palms frame an erupting volcano topped with a puffy cloud of smoke, set against a distant horizon line. On the ground, round pebbles and light water ripples sit among ferns growing on both sides. The outline is clean, and the back plates, so uneven in size, leave plenty of easy, open areas for a thick crayon. The palm fronds and leg stripes are finer and closer together, asking for a steadier hand. This coloring page suits a young child filling in broad shapes just as well as an older one shading each plate separately, taking about twenty minutes to finish. Since the plates vary so much, saving darker shades for the largest ones and lighter tones for the small ones brings out the ankylosaurus's back. This printable coloring page holds up best on thick 200gsm A4 paper, so markers won't bleed through.
