This dino stands at the edge of a winding stream, holding a small leafy twig in one front paw. Its body is covered in large round and oval spots from neck to tail tip, with a row of small bumps running along its back. Palm trees rise all around, ferns grow in the foreground, rocks line the water, and a volcano puffs smoke on the horizon. The linework mixes scales: the round spots break the body into many small areas to fill in one by one, while the belly, legs, and ground leave large open spaces. The palm fronds, with their many thin leaflets, take more patience than the rest of the scene. That mix suits a child who's ready to keep coloring without losing interest, and takes roughly half an hour, longer if every spot gets its own shade.
