DINOSAUR SKELETON #10

This picture shows a dinosaur stripped down to its skeleton, standing upright on its hind legs with its jaws wide open and its teeth bared. The ribcage is drawn as a row of curved bones, the neck and tail are strung with rounded vertebrae, and a clawed arm is raised at mid-height. Around it stand three palm trees, ferns and leafy tufts line the ground, two round rocks sit nearby, and a volcano smokes in the background. The linework stays fine but busy: each rib, vertebra and claw forms its own small shape, much like the palm fronds and the curling smoke, while the rocks and the volcano's body give large, restful areas to fill in. This coloring page suits a child already comfortable with coloring, from about 7-8 years up, and a full session takes a good twenty minutes. To keep the skeleton readable, it helps to color all the bones in a single shade first, from skull to tail, before moving on to the palm trees, ferns and volcano. This printable coloring page works well printed at A4 on paper of at least 200 gsm, sturdy enough for felt-tip pens without bleeding through.
