This coloring page shows a young dino standing upright on its back legs, head turned toward the viewer with a wide smile and a round eye. Its whole body, from neck to curling tail, is covered in oval spots of different sizes. The small front claws are tucked in front of its chest. Behind it, a volcano sends up a looping puff of smoke, framed by tall palm trees loaded with coconuts. Rounded stones and clusters of spiky leaves sit along the ground in front. The outline is thick and even, which makes the dino easy to spot, but the many patches across its body call for patience, since each one colors in like its own little island. The palm fronds, drawn with long ridged leaves, and the spiky foreground plants add plenty of fine areas too. This printable coloring page suits a child who is getting comfortable with small spaces, and finishing it carefully takes a good twenty minutes. Coloring the spots in a shade different from the rest of the skin first, before filling the larger areas around them, gives the dino more depth than working the other way round.
