This dino stands upright on its back legs, mouth open in a wide grin and one round eye wide open. Circular spots of every size cover its neck, back and long curling tail. One front leg, claws neatly drawn, reaches up toward a coconut palm. Two palm trees frame the scene, a volcano puffs smoke behind the animal, and ferns with spiral-curled fronds grow at ground level next to rounded rocks. The outline is thick and even, made for a coloring page even younger kids can tackle: the large spots on the back and tail give wide, easy-to-fill areas, while the small dots on the neck call for more patience. The volcano's smoke cloud colors in fast, but the spiral ferns need a fine-tipped marker to keep the coils clean. A five- or six-year-old needs about twenty minutes to finish it. With so many spots, picking just two or three colors and repeating them across the body works better than switching shades for every circle. This printable coloring page holds up best on A4 paper of at least 120 gsm, heavy enough that markers won't bleed through.
