A jagged, scalloped ridge runs from the back of this baby dino's neck all the way down its spine to the tip of its tail. It stands upright on two legs, its short arms raised with small clawed fingers, right in the middle of a puddle of water or mud, with splash marks and drops scattered around its feet. The head is large, with a round eye and an open, smiling mouth showing tiny teeth. Round spots of different sizes cover the back, the tail and the belly. Behind it, two palm trees frame the scene, ferns with spiral-curled fronds grow beside three rounded rocks, and a volcano puffs a soft cloud of smoke between the trees in the background. The thick, clean outline makes this printable coloring page a good pick for a first attempt: the belly, back and tail give large, easy areas to fill in, while the scattered spots ask for a steadier hand to stay inside each small circle. The spiral ferns and the volcano's smoke add a bit more detail, suited to a child already comfortable with crayons or markers.
